Walked in the American Freight location in Woodbridge,VA. I was greeted as soon as we walked into the door! The customer service was amazing, Two females I believe their names were Tyasiah and Danielle, they were fantastic and obviously have had very good training. Highly recommended

I walked in, was greeted with a big smile and words.  The female helping me answered my questions and gave me good information on the products and warranties. This store has a good selection of appliances.

Came in looking for a dryer, but walked out with a new dryer and refrigerator. Service here was amazing and will definitely be coming back for any future appliances I need. Quinten who I believe is the store manager was very knowledgeable and was training a new sales associate while helping us. She is in good hands! For sure! Store is bright and well organized. 10/10

The people working there did not want to help at all don’t go there I also overheard them talking on phone to customer saying oh we don’t have it when they did I also wanted a box spring that said was in stock and they said nope we don’t have it and the woman accidentally showed for computer and said they did Woodbridge location is terrible

I recently visited the store and experienced extremely poor customer service. The guy was behind the counter distracted by his phone, while the girl was lying on a mattress, video chatting with someone, and wearing inappropriately top. Neither acknowledged my presence or offered assistance. It's disappointing to see such disregard for customers, especially from those whose paychecks depend on our business. This was the worst experience I've had at this store, and I would not recommend it to others.

Do not shop at this location, and I tell you this as an employee of this company( not this location).. I went into purchase a fridge three weeks ago for delivery the next day. I have gotten no phone calls no emails or anything regarding my delivery. I’ve called every day multiple times a day. No answer. I’ve gotten through one time and was told that I wasn’t on the board and there was nothing I can do about it. I’m getting calls about making payments on my refrigerator that I don’t even have. Was also charged for a protection plan that I opted out of and cannot get that fixed at all.

The customer service sucked. It was like they tried their best to avoid talking to you. Wouldn't recommend going there unless it was your last resort!

Jon has been amazing in assisting us with our purchases. We've bought a couple of appliances from here over the years, and we're very happy with everything. Highly recommended!

Customer service was amazing! Quinton who is the store manager is very knowledgeable and definitely knows how to lead a team. At first we couldn’t find what we were looking for but Quinton was able to step in and actually find something else that was perfect for us. We purchased 4 appliances and was able to pick them up the same day!

No customer service nor effort made for paying customers. The employees offer no greeting and would rather yell at you from across the showroom instead of introducing themselves and inquiring on what your interested in. When faced with a challenge regarding picking up an item being purchased in store, they have no ability to exercise all options possible to supply decent customer service to resolve the issue. Wasted 3 hrs on Mother's Day to basically be told "Sorry but there is nothing that can be done". No managers on site to resolve issues the Sales staff encounter and the Sales staff are not trained to resolve issues by exhausting all options.

This chain claims to have the lowest prices in the market for the quality furniture but clearly they need to improve the quality of their staff and their ability to find resolutions. Might want to consider adding a Supervisor or Manager to the daily operations, Salesmen are clearly unable to operate on their own.

If you shop here, good luck. I'm headed elsewhere to spend my money, clearly they are not interested.

Excellent customer service. They were on time and they hauled the old appliances in a few minutes.

Lulu was very nice ,she was super friendly and helpful when my father and I came into the store moments before closing. Thank you for being so accommodating and kind. We are excited to have our new washer💗

I came to American Freight with a friend looking for a dryer and found the perfect one. Lulu greeted us and was helpful from start to end. She found us the perfect dryer and the employees helped us load it up in the car. We are highly pleased with the service! I will be recommending American freight to friends and family.

I've been in and out this store in Woodbridge, as well as many other furniture stores. I wanted new furniture so I decided to go here. My initial experience with Quinton was ok, because he wanted to get the sale, and his commission. He did give me a discount on the set, under handed supposedly,  but I also brought a coffee table set and  When it rang up it was cheaper than the 300$ I thought it was but when I received it,  it had no glass on the bottoms of the coffee table. I didn't have all the screws . When I called back to inform them Quinton was very rude and disrespectful,  he also hung up on me in mid conversation and didn't answer after calling him back 3 times, to question his reasoning for hanging up on me like that. He said that, "I might as well keep the coffee table set because it was cheap and because its discontinued he can't get me another glass,  as if it was ok because it was a lesser price and to get my screws I had to call the third party vendor that delivered the funiture to give me screws, because he might have the screws I needed.  He was happy because i told him i would return the table, despite the cost and purchase another that i can fully utilize. I was gonna purchase something esle this month but after spending dam near 2000 $ and to get this type of customer service is unacceptable and I will not spend my money there again with them. I feel like I want to return it all  and go esle where with my money

The store manager and the staff were absolutely amazing! The manager was training new employees and did a terrific job meeting my needs while also training 2 employees. The new assistant manager Jonathan and sales clerk lulu are in good hands. I highly recommend this location, I’ve been shopping at American freight for years, and the culture and vibe of this store is unmatchable

Staff very lazy just sitting behind the desk eating and giggling . Since we walked in till we left none of the 3 staff offered to assist or even walked toward us. Trash all around, mattresses not priced and no one to price for us. We walked out

I don't normally rate places so low, but let me tell you...

My wife and I visited here a few weeks ago, so this I've had plenty of time to reflect on the experience. We were in to consider a replacement clothes washer and possibly a fridge.

Our visit did not start off good. Imo, the store was in need of a good floor cleaning. (you will understand why I mention this in a second). There were ZERO other customers, or potential customers, present. Despite someone being there who was clearly an employee, they couldn't be separated from their cell phone (candy crush anyone?) long enough to even greet us or offer any type of help. We observed them engrossed in the phone long enough to form the opinion that this was definitely not phone use associated with the business. So, plenty of things the store needs, customers to greet, and your glued to a phone? Well, I hope the couch they were sitting on was at least comfortable. 🤷

We remained in the store browsing for approximately 10 minutes, with zero interaction. I stress this point because even the dollar store, which is very busy, greets every customer. I've NEVER not had an employee in any store at the mall not greet us and offer help.

My concern, especially at a place you expect to spend about a grand, is that If you can't greet your customers, imagine how hard it must be to find someone when there is a problem! To be clear, I could understand and let this easily slide if the employee had been busy with other customers.

In addition, we found all - even significantly damaged - appliances significantly overpriced for their condition, in our opinion. Maybe they haggle prices? I'll never know, but a few hundred off retail price for a fridge with a door severely kinked in the middle? It literally looked like it had been thru an NHTSA auto crash test, I kid you not. A number of appliances were way beyond simple scratch and dent condition. I've literally seen better cosmetic appliances at the landfill. That's OK, if the discount justifies it, but we found no markdown that would justify settling for such damaged items, even ones placed in a location where the damage wouldn't matter. You will find better v scratch and dent markdowns at the nearby big box home improvement stores.

Sorry, but for us it's a hard pass.

I had one of the most exciting shopping experience at the Woodbridge store. The Manager, Jio, went above and beyond to make sure not only did i get the lowest price of a displayed item (queen bed set) but also personally brought his own tools to disassemble the bed and load them onto my truck. He deserves a bonus and the highest customer service recognition . Because of him I will shop there again. Happy and satisfied customer.

Store had only one Clerc. The second employee is useless and does not engage the customers. Also, the restrooms are nasty! The pricing on dented appliances is announced in big signs as discounted of 45% in fact they drop under 20% only. The pricing is more expensive on dented items than on same new appliances at best buy. I am sorry but I will not recommend anyone to be a customer there.

I Had a great experience! Geo's customer service was excellent! Attentive Helpful and Incredibly polite. Found a perfect Bedset for a great price with his assistance!!

I ordered stuff online and received an email order is ready for pickup. But when I went there for pickup they said they just sold that in store. I was how come you can sell i already paid online. They said it's sold now we can refund your money. I just wasted my time to go there. They should send me an email before I go there items are out of stock and don't come. Completely inconvenient and they even did apologize they didn't care about customers.

Alex was such a pleasure to work with today. She actually helped us find a much better appliance than the one we originally said we would buy. That is appreciated so much because it felt like she cared. She also took her time explaining the process to us.

Nightmare experience! Bait-and-switch on fees, no support or ownership when things went wrong, shakedown from delivery svc, and multiple conflicting stories/excuses from staff.  I picked an appliance online, spoke with store rep who assisted with the item, I completed order online with delivery for the next day/Saturday. Received order confirmation and then silence. No call on day of expected delivery, and appliance never delivered. I call mid-afternoon Saturday and no one can find my order - not with the warehouse or with third party delivery svc. Then third party svc calls me asking for more money to deliver that day (nearly double the initial fee!). I call back and I’m told only manager/Kristen can help me when she’s back on Monday. I call again Sunday -  nothing they can do and try again on Monday when manger is in. I call Monday and same thing - manager/Kristen is not in as I was told, she will be in on Tuesday, and then third party svc calls again asking for more money to deliver. Call back store and speak with a manager (Quantrell (sp?)), and he says there’s nothing they can do or will do. My suggestion to them was  knock some off the price I paid (yes, I’ve already paid!) for the inconvenience of waiting the extra days for delivery and I’ll pay the extra for third party svc to deliver or I’ll cancel my order. The former seemed like a win-win - I was trying to work with them. Quantrell says there’s nothing he can do, the only person who can do anything is Kristen and she won’t be in until Wednesday. Wait what?!? I thought I was speaking with a manager and now she’s not coming in until Wednesday?!? They’re asking me to wait a total of four days past confirmed delivery date to get an answer of if they will honor what I paid or not??? They did absolutely nothing to correct the service nightmare they made, leaving me to make all the calls to them and the third party svc, and had the gall to ask ME to work it out with the third party service. I’m flabbergasted that this is how they run their business.

This was the easiest furniture purchase ever. Staff friendly and extremely helpful.

Bought a GE french door stainless fridge with a small dent in the bottom freezer door for about 50% off.  Had it in our garage within two hours of purchase.

If scratch and dent, too expensive.  In some cases same as retail. Information tags lack information particularly refrigerators and freezers.  Like shelves, drawers, warranty info.

Good selection but prices are high considering it's a scratch and dent store.

Christian had the best customer service and answered questions super fast i was in and out in 15 mins.

I am so happy Ms. Christian was a Blessing. She was very helpful, attentive, thorough professional and courteous. She walked me through everything assisted me with every step.

I will definitely be coming back and referring everyone that I know to American Freight because of her!

Huge store with a very large selection. I gave it three stars because the lighting was not user friendly when trying to compare similarly toned appliances.

Giovanni was great help. Him and his partner went above and beyond to help my husband and I. We walked out with what we wanted. Definitely recommend this store, just ask for Giovanni.

Some of the best customer service ever. We were able to walk the store undisturbed trying to find a big freezer. We couldn’t find the one we saw online so we asked for help - the gentlemen looked in the back for us and double checked the floor but unfortunately they didn’t have it. There was one very similar but was more expensive but one of the gentlemen gave us a price match for the one we came in after. They loaded the freezer into our truck for us.

This is my second time trying to leave my review… idk if the company is trying to block my review but I came into American Freight in Woodbridge Va at Potomac mills mall. Looking for a bedroom set for my 14 year old daughter for Christmas. When I walked in I was approached by a skinny man with dreads who reeked of alcohol and was clearly intoxicated! He said his name was Shermain I believe. it was hard to understand him because of his slurred speech. His pants were saggy exposing his underwear and He had on a Georgia jacket with a lot of chains around his neck and didn’t sound like he was from this area at all. He was the only person in the store I believe and when I told him I was just going to look around he told me “Ok shorty let me know if you need anything” . This is highly unacceptable and honestly unbelievable. I can’t imagine what type of hiring process this company has, seems like they will hire anybody.
